For your consideration, we present a mid 20th Century Vintage Holo-Electron Ampere Violet Wand which benefits from a complete top to bottom rebuild, both inside and out.

Holo-Electron as a company started producing Violet Wand Sets in the 1920's, and while famed for their exceptional glass not all their devices were very powerful. This model is however exceptional, a smooth operator with excellent quality and high performance. This was Holo-Electron's strongest device. By way of a comparison, this is much better than a Felma, and is comparable to a Fluvita. The output goes from very low to very high. A potted hand-piece facilities those who prefer extended use.

An eminently reliable violet wand machine for electrotherapy massage which is really very simple to use, and now of a higher build quality. Modern replacement components are used throughout improving both performance and safety. This French Holo Electron violet wand machine is, one of a number of machines, noted for their high output (see photographs).

Output is regulated by a potentiometer. We recommend potentiometer controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices; making for a better end user experience.

The control unit can be removed from the case and placed on a surface during use.

Controls

Left-hand side of fascia; on/off toggle switch, above this, a treatment timer with auto shut off.
Right-hand side of fascia: is a toggle switch for voltage selection (left 200/250v) (right 80/150v), this righthand dial controls output by way of a potentiometer.
Centrally, a fuse, in the form of a user changeable lamp, and below this a ampere metre for display purposes only

To Operate

To operate, first ensure the voltage toggle switch matches your mains power outlet - 110 / 120 volts (USA, North America, Canada, Japan, Brazil), 220/240 volts (UK, Australia, South Africa and mainland Europe). Connect both leads to the control box, then connect to the power supply, insert your electrode into the violet wand handpiece. Next switch the left hand toggle switch on; now set the timer running, by turning left-hand dial clockwise. Then adjust the right hand dial to the desired high frequency treatment output, "treatment" is ready to commence.

Voltage

Works on either 110/120 or 220/240 volts. [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage converter to get the best out of this device.]

Electrodes

Includes 28 violet ray wand electrodes, 20 in lid and 8 in base - all electrodes seated on freshly lined new deep crimson velvet and all guaranteed as fully functional. This set contains several insulated electrodes, which have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact. Yes they were originally intended to treat a patient’s internal orifices. (please note: the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only).
