For your consideration, we present a mid 20th Century Vintage Helios Violet Wand which benefits from a complete top to bottom rebuild, both inside and out.

Originally used as a holistic practitioner's violet ray set, these classic sets produce more ozone and bite that can be hoped to be achieved by any modern / solid state device. It's worth mentioning that the output from all of our vintage devices is fully isolated from the mains (household current) something that cannot be said for all modern devices.

This German Helios machine, from the 1950's, is a superior frequency controlled device, and now with an updated filter system reducing the incidence of EMI interference and facilitating the safe use of the grounded hand-piece and hand-held intensifying bar. The small metal intensifying bar as the name suggests, intensifies the treatment slightly, as it's original purpose was to ground the patient during treatment to prevent random sparks flying about.

Frequency controlled devices adjust the position of the breakers, and thus the output. This Helios violet wand is one of a number of machines noted for their high output(see photographs).

Controls

Top of fascia plate - voltage selection toggle switch. Beneath this, a large dial which controls output.

To Operate

Ready to use, the control unit is built into the case and all leads are captive to the device. First, ensure the voltage selector matches your household mains power outlet left - 110-120 volts or right - 220-240 volts; now connect the device to the power outlet.

Next select your treatment electrode and insert into the handpiece.

Now, simply start the machine running by turning the dial clockwise to desired output.

Voltage

Operates on either 110-120 volts (USA, North America, Japan) or 220-240 volts (UK, Australia, Europe) Customers with 110 -120 volts mains outlet may find it advantageous using a small step up voltage converter to get the best out of this device.

Electrodes

A fine selection of 8 treatment electrodes seated on a new jet black cotton velvet lining, some which are insulated. Insulated electrodes have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact, yes they were originally intended to treat a patient's internal orifices. All electrodes are guaranteed as fully functional (the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only). from left to right

3. single eye / nipple electrode
4. comb electrode
5. larynx electrode (insulated)
6. metal-tipped fulgurator electrode (also called cautery electrode)
