Originally used as a holistic practitioner's violet ray set, this vintage physician's quack medical electrotherapy set does produce more ozone and bite that can be hoped to be achieved by any modern / solid state device. This German Helios machine, from the 1940's, is a superior rheostat controlled device, and is noted for it's high output (see photographs).

Controls

Top of fascia plate - voltage selection by way of push button.  Red button = 110-120 volts, Black button = 220-240 volts. Centre, large rotary dial which controls output, beneath this, sockets which attach wand hand-piece to the control unit.  

To Operate

Ready to use, this control unit can be removed from the case.  The power lead is captive to the device. First, you will need to attach your wand hand-piece via the sockets.  Next, ensure the voltage selector matches your household mains power outlet left - 110-120 volts or right - 220-240 volts; now connect the device to the power outlet.

Next select your treatment electrode and insert into the handpiece.

Now, simply start the machine running by turning the dial clockwise to desired output.

Voltage

Operates on either 110-120 volts (USA, North America, Japan) or 220-240 volts (UK, Australia, Europe) Customers with 110 -120 volts mains outlet may find it advantageous using a small step up voltage converter to get the best out of this device.

Electrodes

A fine selection of 16 treatment electrodes seated on a new purple cotton velvet lining, some which are insulated. Insulated electrodes have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact, yes they were originally intended to treat a patient's internal orifices. All electrodes are guaranteed as fully functional (the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only).
