Hegrosan high frequency violet ray 20 piece set

For your consideration, we present this Classic Fully Working professionally restored early 20th century original antique Hegrosan Violet Ray electrotherapy machine, which benefits from a complete electrical rebuild. The original case and lining have been refinished.

Beautifully restored, to ensure optimal performance and safety without any harmful modifications being carried out. A real gem.

Produced in Germany in the mid 1930's, this classic Hegrosan violet wand machine was originally used for holistic treatment, with original tesla coil technology, and has been lovingly restored in the UK to it's original performance, but safer,  to comply with twenty first century safety regulations; there were no such things as safety regulations in the 1920's, or if there were, they were very different to today's.

The original Art Deco brown crocodilian style covering the case has been refinished, there are one or two faded parts, but it it is 90 years old and overall in such lovely condition, we wanted to preserve this - including the sumptuous original purple velvet lining. 

The case measures approximately 41½ cm  x 26½ cm  x 13 cm (16¼" x 10½"  x 5¼")(width x depth x height)

Eminently reliable, and now of a higher build quality, as modern replacement components are used throughout. This Hegrosan violet wand machine is one of a number of machines noted for having a high output and has a factory potted hand-piece.  Particular attention has also been made to the internal mechanism, in particular the insulation of the circuitry, it is now over and above the manufacturer's original specification - to comply with 21st Century safety regulations.

Output is regulated by a rheostat. We recommend rheostat controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices - making for a better end-user experience.

Controls

Top left -"Jumper" socket voltage selection (110 - 220/240 volts). To the bottom of the fascia, a large centrally positioned dial - this controls output by way of a rheostat.

To Operate

Ready to use, the control unit is removeable from the case, and both mains power lead and wand-handpiece are captive to the machine, there's also a handy cradle to secure the hand-piece when not in use.

To operate, first ensure the "Jumper" voltage selection matches your mains output/power outlet. You are now ready to connect the control unit to your power outlet.  Insert your treatment electrode, and start the machine running to your desired output by turning the rheostat dial clockwise.

Voltage

Works on either 110-120 volts (North America, USA, Canada, Japan) or 220-240 volts (UK, France, Germany, mainland Europe, Australia). Customers with 110 -120 volts mains outlets may find it advantageous using a small step up voltage converter to get the best out of this device.

Electrodes

You will find 17 essential treatment electrodes, included in this violet wand set - many both rare and unusual - 12 in the lid, and a further 5 in the base, all seated on the original noble purple velvet lining.  Some of the electrodes in this set are insulated.  Insulated electrodes have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact. Yes they were originally intended to treat a patient’s internal orifices. All electrodes are guaranteed as fully functional.
