Produced in Germany in the mid 1940's, this Haider electrotherapy machine is a portable violetray device and superbly designed for transportation.

Eminently reliable, and now of a higher build quality, as modern replacement components are used throughout. This Haider violet wand machine is one of a number of machines noted for having a high output (the photographs show what lesser devices cannot do). Factory potted hand-piece, giving a degree of extended usage.

Output is regulated by a rotary rheostat - an unusual arrangement - the "slider" is fixed and the rheostat itself rotates. We recommend rheostat controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices; making for a better end user experience.

Controls

To the left: clearly marked push button voltage selection (rear button 220 / 240 volts - forward button 110 / 120 volts).

On the right: Large 360° dial - this regulates output by way of the rheostat. Both powerlead and wand handpiece are captive to the control unit - which means that all in all this is an extremely simple machine to operate.

To Operate

Ready to use, The control unit can be removed from the case and placed on a convenient surface. First ensure that you set the voltage to match your mains power outlet. You are now ready to connect the powerlead to your power outlet. Next, insert your treatment electrode, and start the machine running by turning the dial clockwise until you reach your ideal output. A centrally located "amber light" will illuminate to indicate there is power to the device.Voltage

Works on either 110-120 volts (USA, North America) or 220-240 volts (UK, mainland Europe, Australia). [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage convertor to get the best out of this device.]

Electrodes

You will find 19 treatment electrode attachments, seated on a new crimson velvet lining, are included in this violet wand set - 13 in the lid and 6 in the base. This set contains several insulated electrodes, which have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact. Yes they were originally intended to treat a patient's internal orifices. (please note: the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only).
