A high-end "deluxe" device, once only supplied to health care professionals, this mid 20th Century Vintage EMS (Electro Medical Supplies) Violet Ray benefits from a complete top to bottom rebuild, the case has been refinished, and the electronics brought up to the specification of the very last machines to leave the Uvral factory. Housed in a robust heavy duty case with twin handles: a professional device not intended for house calls, but rather to be installed within a practice. It's not that unwheeldy, but it is certainly not compact. A substantial device which opens to display a sloping control panel to best effect with 3 "mad professor" dials.

Controls

Output is regulated by the right-hand dial, whilst the left hand dial is voltage selection. The central dial is a weak/strong switch.

Operation

This machine is ready to plug and use - simply connect to the power supply, ensuring the left hand dial is in the off position. Decide weak or strong treatment (central dial), add your electrode, select the voltage to match your mains power outlet, using the left hand dial - the machine will now start running. You can now adjust the intensity using the right-hand dial. Do not switch between weak and strong without first turning the device off.

Voltage

Operates worldwide on either 100-125 (USA, Canada, North America, Japan) or 200-250 (UK, Australia, France, Germany, Europe) volts. [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage convertor to get the best out of this device.]

You will find 8 full sized IFAS treatment electrodes, included in this electrotherapy violet ray set (these are larger and incorporate thicker glass to handle the higher voltage produced by this machine).
All electrodes are guaranteed as fully functional.

7. IFAS VE15 strong fulguration electrode (metal-tipped for cauterizing)
