Dating from the 1930’s, and manufactured in Germany, this Elektro-Hausschatz high frequency violet ray is a quality, powerful device. Vintage devices produce more bite and ozone than their modern day counterparts.

Once a medicinal electrotherapy machine, now with alternate uses, this device has been fully restored inside and out, the case covered with new high quality leathercloth covering, new hardware and freshly lined deep crimson velvet. A full electrical overall incorporating improvements to performance and safety, and now of a higher build quality, as modern replacement components are used throughout. The handpiece is fully potted for those who expect extended usage.

Controls

Top dial - voltage selection, switch left for 110 volts, off - centre, switch right for 220 volts. To the bottom of the fascia, the large output dial, this regulates the output by way of a rheostat, giving you the widest possible array of sensations - from a gentle whisper to something really rather mean.

Output is regulated by a rheostat. We recommend rheostat controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices; making for a better end user experience.

To Operate

All in all, an extremely simple machine to use.The control unit can be removed from the case and placed on a convenient surface during treatment, and the leads are captive to the device.

Ready to use— first ensuring you selected the correct voltage to match your mains (power outlet). Now connect the machine to your mains power outlet. Next, insert your treatment electrode, and turn the lower dial clockwise to adjust output to your desired intensity. Not too high at first—this machine bites.

Voltage

Runs on either 110-120 (USA, Brasil) or 220-240 volts (UK, Europe, Australia). Customers with 110-120 volts mains outlets may find it advantageous using a small step up voltage converter to get the best out of this device.

Electrode

Includes 20 treatment electrodes, seated on a new deep crimson velvet lining, 14 in the lid and 6 in the base. All violet wand electrode attachments are guaranteed as fully functional. This set includes a number of insulated electrodes, these have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact, yes they were originally intended to treat a patient’s internal orifices.
