Produced in Paris in the 1930's, this Renovator electrotherapy machine is a portable violetray device and one of the best compact machines of its time.

Eminently reliable, and now of a higher build quality, as modern replacement components are used throughout. This Renovator violet wand machine is one of a number of machines noted for having a high output (the photographs show what lesser devices cannot do). Fully potted hand-piece, giving a degree of extended usage.

Output is regulated by a rheostat - we recommend rheostat controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices; making for a better end user experience.

Controls

Looking to the left of the control unit: voltage selection studs (top 150 / 250 volts; bottom 80 - 130 volts.
Single dial regulates output by way of the rheostat.
Right:  red sockets, these connect the wand hand-piece to the control unit.

To Operate

Ready to use, the control unit can be used in the case, or taken out and placed on a convenient surface during treatment.

First, connect your wand hand-piece to the red sockets.  Next, select the voltage for your region by ensuring your connect the power cable to the appropriately marked stud to match your mains power outlet (UK and mainland Europe select the top one), now you are ready to connect the control box to your power outlet. 

Next, select your treatment electrode and insert this into the wand hand-piece.

Now start the machine running by turning the dial clockwise until you reach your desired output - remember, gently at first, this machine bites.

Voltage

Operates on either 110-120 volts (USA, North America) or 220-240 volts (UK, mainland Europe, Australia). [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage convertor to get the best out of this device.]

Electrodes

You will find 4 treatment electrode attachments, seated on a new forest green velvet lining.  This device takes 10mm end-cap electrodes, and includes an insulated electrode, with double walled stem designed to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact (yes they really were originally intended to treat a patient's internal orifices). Please note: the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only.  All electrodes are guaranteed as fully functional.
