Felma "Model 22" deluxe violet wand machine

For your consideration, we present this unique restored and fully rebuilt Vintage Felma Model 22 Violetwand.

Dates from the 1930’s, manufactured in Germany, an high-end device, with an extensive array of electrodes and powerful output. Vintage devices produce more bite and ozone than their modern day counterparts.

This electrotherapy machine has been fully restored inside and out, the case covered with new high quality leathercloth covering, new hardware and freshly lined claret velvet. Improvements to performance and safety, and now of a higher build quality, as modern replacement components are used throughout. Features a potted handpiece for extended useage and to eliminate internal arching.

Controls

Power controlled by two dials - the upper, marked "Frequenz", starts the machine running, and adjusts the frequency (buzz). The lower dial, marked "Funke" (spark) operates a rheostat. Using both dials in conjunction gives you the widest possible array of output - from a gentle whisper to something really rather mean. The hand-piece features a red button - this stops the sparks.

Originally this button was used to place electrodes on the patient's skin without creating a painful spark, although nowadays it enables you to pause the output, change an electrode without altering any of the settings on the main control unit.

To Operate

All in all, an extremely simple machine to use. First turn both dials anti-clockwise to their fullest extent without any force, this is off. Next, simply attach both leads to the device. Wand hand-piece to the black sockets - Mains power lead to the correct stud sockets (these are marked 110 or 220 volts). Then connect to the to the household power supply, insert your chosen electrode into the handpiece. Keep your fingers south of the "Red Button" on the hand-piece.

Turn the "Frequenez" dial until you hear the machine start running , not the full 360 degrees, just until it starts to run with an even tone..... then turn the "Funke" dial clockwise to increase the output , anticlockwise reduces the output. Not too high at first—this machine bites.

The "Red Button" , if you press this the electrode will stop glowing, the button cuts the current off at the output, release the button and the electrode will start to glow again.

Voltage

Works on either 110/120 volts (USA, North America, Canada, Japan, Brazil), or 220/240 volts (UK, Australia, South Africa and mainland Europe). [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage convertor to get the best out of this device.]

Electrode

Includes 22 essential treatment electrodes, seated on a new claret velvet lining, and 7 in the base. All violet wand electrode attachments are guaranteed as fully functional (the metal bar in some of the photographs is for illustration purposes). This set contains numerous insulated electrodes, these have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact, yes they were originally intended to treat a patient’s internal orifices.
