For your consideration, we present an mid 20th Century Vintage Fluvita Violet Wand from the 1960's with treatment timer which benefits from a complete top to bottom rebuild, both inside and out.

Fluvita as a company started producing Violet Wand Sets in the 1920's, famed for their build quality and high performance. This is one of their stunning baronial violet ray models, so called due to the distinctive electrode layout, which features in-built mains filtering and fuses, decoupling circuitry, an onboard treatment timer, grounded hand-piece, twin indicator lamps, and potted transformer insert for those who expect extended use.

An eminently reliable violet wand machine for electrotherapy massage which is really very simple to use, and now of a higher build quality. Modern replacement components are used throughout improving both performance and safety. This French Fluvita violet wand machine is, one of a number of machines, noted for their high output (see photographs).

Output is regulated by a potentiometer. We recommend potentiometer controlled devices like this machine, as they provide smooth even output transmission, which is vastly superior to almost all thumb-wheel and frequency controlled devices; making for a better end user experience.

The control unit can be removed from the case and placed on a surface during use.

Controls

Left-hand side:  power light, under this mains voltage selection toggle switch (left for 110 volts, right 220 volts).

Centre: at the top,  a treatment timer with auto shutoff.  Beneath this numered output dial which controls the output by way of a potentiometer.

Right-hand side: power light which illuminates when output dial is engaged.  Beneath this, a high/low switch giving you the greatest range of output and sensations. 

To Operate

To operate, first ensure the voltage toggle switch matches your mains power supply - left 110 / 120 volts (USA, North America, Canada, Japan, Brazil), right 220/240 volts (UK, Australia, South Africa and mainland Europe). Connect to the mains, insert your electrode into the violet wand handpiece. Next select high or low output by adjusting the HF toggle switch. Now set the timer running, by turning top-hand dial clockwise.  Turn the bottom dial clockwise to the desired high frequency treatment output, this will cause the light to the right to illuminate, you are ready to commence.

Voltage

Works on either 110/120 or 220/240 volts. [Customers with 110 volts mains power outlet may find it advantageous to utilise a small power step up voltage convertor to get the best out of this device.]

Electrodes

Includes 10 violet ray wand electrodes - all electrodes seated on freshly lined new scarlet velvet and all guaranteed as fully functional. This set does contain an insulated electrode, which have double walled stems to prevent the charge grounding at first point of contact. Yes they were originally intended to treat a patient's internal orifices. (please note: the metal bar in some photographs is for illustration purposes only).
